Project Wasteland 0 - Free Flash Game

I have found a free flash game called Project Wasteland 0 via Armour Games.
It essentially is a story less turn based combat game that has a post apoc setting, and attempts to mimic the style of Fallout/Wasteland.
Its a fun game to play, level up, and waste a few hours, so take a look:

It may not be much... but as far as flash games go that capture the play style of Wasteland or fallout goes... This pretty much as it all... Just lacking a story.

Class 3 Zombie Outbreak Game

I found a fairly fun game, where using Google maps, you defend the city from
a zombie Outbreak... it is very hard. But a GREAT time waster.
And kinda fun to walk around your own backyard and kill some zombies...
I think I like it even more because it has a map that is right outside
from where I work...

I figured I would give this a share, cause I know there are a lot of
Zed-Heads out there!

Wasteland 2 Update #19

There is a new update on the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter, that is a huge update on progress indeed!
A giant behind-the-scenes update on how the game is coming along, and a nice 5 minute music piece at the end... Which I must say is sounding GREAT!

A fun fanmade morph of two of the portrait morphs...

Quote : An official update on the project is long overdue, so I'll try to make the most of this one.  We have been so focused on production that we have not communicated as much as some people would like. We will look to improve the frequency of our updates and have the dev team post on the forums about the specifics of our development. The good news is that things continue to move along rapidly and I am very pleased with the writing and level designs we have so far. The players were vocal in their desire for mature, violent and strange and that is what we will be serving.

Check the link below for the hefty update status on what looks to be an AWESOME game!

Junk - Post Apoc Card Game!

I found a pretty cool Kickstarter for a Post Apocalyptic Card/Dice game called Junk for 2-4 Players.

CONCEPT

Junk is a card and dice game for 2-4 players that takes 45-90 minutes to play: instead of building civilization like you might be used to in the genre, in Junk you are REbuilding using the junk from the world before. The players are leaders of a tribe that has survived an apocalypse and scavenge the wasteland for junk. These junk cards are drawn, traded, or stolen from other players to combine into pre-collapse technologies. The first tribe to restore civilization by achieving all 5 of these: the wonders of Sanitation, Preservation, Constitution, Radio, and Power Generation, wins. How will you choose to survive? By nurturing the wasteland ecology and harvesting its resources, founding a warrior culture to take what others have, restoring culture and quality of life, studying the science of what came before, or learning how it all fit together?

This game looks like a LOT of fun!
So back the kickstarter (help them reach their STRETCH goal)
I am proud to say that I am!

Wasteland 2 Update

An update by Brian Fargo was been posted, apologizing for the dead air, and says he intends to post more updates in the near future.

From the update :
  • It has been some time since I have posted a blog here and I apologize for the delay. I need to do a better job of communicating my thoughts and ideas as that is a part of the process I know people are interested in. I have been very focused on getting the first pass at all the writing complete by October. The thing that is most critical in creating a deep and re-playable experience is for us to have plenty of iteration time on the game. There is simply no substitute for allowing plenty of time for us to play the game over and over thus allowing us to hone in on the things that people are going try in the world. A wonderfully written script is not valuable if it is delivered too far into the development process. This game is going to be much deeper than most people realize and I will go out on a limb to say it is nearly impossible for two people to have the same experience playing through the game as there are so many nuanced decisions. The caliber of writing is very impressive and for those who wanted an M rated experience… you will be more than satisfied. We don’t pull any punches on the subject matters of a dark post apocalyptic world. My attitude is that if you going into a genre that has expectations then GO THERE.. all the way. It is for the same reasons I tend to love all the great shows and writing that I find on Showtime and HBO and find myself turned off by the material on network television. I don’t like to see pandering to a mass audience for my TV shows and I certainly won’t allow this game to soften up a rough world.
