Designer Gas Masks

Doing a random search Ironicly for cheap working gas masks, I found theses :

And subsequently an article about them, and some information on the designer...
Not the most practical thing to own... but some REALLY cool fashion and design went into the production of these things.

Quote : If you like post apocalyptic fashion mixed with high end runway then you will love these diamond studded gas masks. No need to wait for the mushroom clouds to start a revolution. The masks were the creation of designer Diddo Velema, with Gucci and Luis Vuitton.
Not something likely to rely on for protection from the harsh wateland.. but pretty damn cool if you ask me... Check it out!

Project Wasteland 0 - Free Flash Game

I have found a free flash game called Project Wasteland 0 via Armour Games.
It essentially is a story less turn based combat game that has a post apoc setting, and attempts to mimic the style of Fallout/Wasteland.
Its a fun game to play, level up, and waste a few hours, so take a look:

It may not be much... but as far as flash games go that capture the play style of Wasteland or fallout goes... This pretty much as it all... Just lacking a story.

WD-40 -- Essential for survival!

We all know that WD-40 has sooo many uses for around the house (over 2000 I believe is the motto). But is this something we think of for surviving the apocalypse?
Well WD40 has written a survival guide for use with their product, and it is very much worth the read. ITs poignant, funny, and eerily true.

All I know is I got my can ready!

10 Essentials for Survivng the Zombie Apoc

A rather humorous, yet well written article taken from the Huffington Post about survivng the Zombie apocalypse... This covers most all bases, from food, to weaponry, to just covering up the damn smell.

Let's face it. America is fat and only getting fatter. I'm just ballparking numbers here, but let's say the average American weighs 170 pounds. So, New York is gonna have... Let's see, 9 million times 170... New York's gonna have 1,530,000,000 pounds of rotting human flesh sashaying about. That's a billion and a half to you and me. You're gonna want to sprinkle some Old Spice on your bandana and wrap it around your face to help with the stench.

So check out this great article, and the hilarious bits with the slideshow at the end for sure!

Ground Zero Nuke Simulator

A fun site using google maps that let you choose a location "Drop a bomb" And see the affected areas of the blast...

Not a practical tool, but kind of interesting to see how you would be affected if a major city near you was struck by an atomic explosion.

Skin.Graft Fashion Show Vid

It is a bit old (VERY OLD)... But I have never heard of the company Skin.Graft so I thought I would give it a share to the other folks that had not.

A video from the article on the 2007 Post Apoc Fashion Show
Not exactly my style of Post Apoc fashion, but it has some
pretty cool stuff... Although I feel the men's fashion was BORING
and recycled seeming. Just my opinion.

Class 3 Zombie Outbreak Game

I found a fairly fun game, where using Google maps, you defend the city from
a zombie Outbreak... it is very hard. But a GREAT time waster.
And kinda fun to walk around your own backyard and kill some zombies...
I think I like it even more because it has a map that is right outside
from where I work...

I figured I would give this a share, cause I know there are a lot of
Zed-Heads out there!

Saturday Post Apoc Babe #5

Gerber Apocalyspe Series

One of the most useful things you can have with you when surviving
is a machete! Well what about a machete that is also an axe...
Great for hacking up brush, clearing an area for shelter...
or busting open the head of a mutant or walking corpse, or more
realistically someone trying to get to your shelter, and steal your belongings.

Well Gerber now has an "Apocalypse" Series... and they look GREAT!
Damn they are some slick looking things for sure...

Each has its own purpose. An axe is an essential item for gathering wood.
The parang is perfect for protection with its light weight angled blade.
The tanto is necessary in so many ways, from gutting an animal,
to cutting rope, etc.

All in all this looks like a solid set. And they even bundle them
together in a great "Apocalypse Survival Kit"

Looks like a great addition to any survivalist's collection.
Check out the links to the official site, and a review I found.
